David Tennant May Return As Doctor Who

He hasn't even left yet, but it seems David Tennant is already pining for the Tardis - he's talking about coming back as Doctor Who.

The actor, 38, will bow out at the end of the year to be replaced by Matt Smith.

But asked if he might ever return, he replied: "No one knows. But, 2013 is the show's 50th anniversary, isn't it? "But that's not an announcement. Don't twitter that."

Tennant was speaking at an arts and comic book convention in San Diego.

Mire Beasts

Mire Beasts were octopus-like creatures native to Aridius. They originally lived in the oceans, but these dried up, forcing them into the Aridians' cities in search of food. The Aridians kept out the Mire Beasts by walling off the portions of the city infested with them. One Mire Beast attacked Ian Chesterton and Vicki.

edit Profile

Aridians possessed silvery skin, crested heads and fins along their spines. They originally lived in an underwater city, but the oceans slowly dried up and turned into deserts. The Aridians had to not only adapt to this new climate, but also contend with the Mire Beasts and a brief Dalek invasion.
