Gaztaks
The Gaztaks were a race of near-human mercenaries. They used large spaceships. These were almost cuboid in shape. In conflict they employed energy weapons such as rifles and handguns.
In 1980, Meglos hired a band of Gaztaks led by General Grugger to abduct a human from Earth so he could take on its form. They took the human to Zolfa-Thura. Grugger and his aid, Brotadac, were hired to help Meglos steal the Dodecahedron from the Tigellans.

Bannermen
The Bannermen were a criminal group led by Gavrok. They tried to exterminate the entire Chimeron species.
The Bannermen used zap guns as their principal weapon, firing in the general direction of targets as opposed to carefully aiming. They rarely took prisoners without due reason and would not release them willingly. They used booby traps to kill their foes and seemed unconcerned about such underhanded tactics. They displayed no appreciation for Galactic Law. (DW: Delta and the Bannermen) 1987.

Doctor Who Lost Footage Appeal - Off-Air Recordings In Your Attic?
AudioGO has launched their second ever Doctor Who at the BBC Appeal and are keen to hear from anyone who has off-air recordings of Doctor Who-related items from BBC TV and radio programmes, particularly those recorded in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. These could include interviews with the cast and crew of Doctor Who, features on the making of the series, discussions about Doctor Who, or even comedy sketches.
Any usable contributions will be gathered together in a new volume of Doctor Who at the BBC to be published as a CD or download in 2013. The original appeal in 2005 led to several rare finds, some of which appeared on Doctor Who at the BBC Volume 2 (there have been six so far, all currently available to download). If you have something which you think might be of interest, please drop an email to info@audiogo.co.uk, with the subject header Doctor Who at the BBC Appeal. All you would have to do is send AudioGO either a copy or your original on loan.

Bill Nighy has confirmed he turned down the chance to star in Doctor Who
Prior to the show’s revival in 2005, by Russell T. Davies, there was constant speculation in the British press as to who the BBC would cast in the iconic role. Obviously numerous names were linked to the role of the Doctor and Bill Nighy was one of them. Several press reports even claimed the actor had actually been cast in the role rather than just tipped for it. Well now the actor has confirmed he was indeed offered the role of the Doctor in Doctor Who.
