A Bit About Pearl Mackie
Pearl Mackie (born 29 May 1987) is a British actress, dancer, and singer. She was named on 23 April 2016 as having been chosen by the BBC to play Bill, the next companion to The Doctor, in the long running television series Doctor Who. Mackie is a 2010 graduate of the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Her first major TV role came in 2014, when she played Anne-Marie Frasier in BBC One weekday afternoon Soap Opera Doctors.
Mackie grew up in Brixton in south London and is of paternal West Indian and maternal English descent. She earned a degree in Drama from the University of Bristol, and speaks French and Spanish. During her studies she went to workshops and took part in many extra-curricular plays. In 2010 she graduated from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. In the same year Mackie was nominated along with Roddy Peters for the BBC Carleton Hobbs Award for outstanding duologues in the school play Noughts & Crosses.
Alongside Martin Freeman, Maxine Peake, Morwenna Banks and Matt Berry Mackie appeared as a front of house girl in the 2013 music comedy Svengali. In 2014 Mackie played Anne-Marie Frasier in Doctors. In the same year she played the young computer genius Mia in Crystal Springs at the Park Theatre in London. She could also be seen in the political satire Obama-ology at the Finborough theatre in London. She played Cece and Caits, two young women finding their voice. In 2015 she performed in the National Theatre's West End production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time. In the same year Mackie appeared in the short film Date Aid by Bond, a satirical PSA. Mackie played Sarah, a girl that the date maker Dawn wants to pair off to the desperate single Bob. The story turned out to be a spoof. The film criticises NGOs for using negative messaging when talking to the public on development issues. By using sensationalistic, voyeuristic and exploitative images the NGOs over-simplify development issues and promote stereotypes. Mackie has also worked as an acting tutor for Troupers, a company who teach theatre skills to children and young people. In 2016 it was announced that Mackie was going to play Bill, the next companion of The Doctor in the British television series Doctor Who.

The Crystal Maze To Return To Television With David Tennant As Host
he Crystal Maze is to return to our television screens this autumn after 21 years off air.
The problem-solving game show, which ran from 1990 to 1995, is returning to Channel 4 in October with the former Doctor Who actor David Tennant reportedly lined up to follow the footsteps of Richard O’Brien and Ed Tudor-Pole as the host.
The classic game show will form part of Channel 4’s Stand Up to Cancer night, with celebrities as the contestants.
"Even two decades after it last aired, there are very few shows that have been as magical and action-packed as The Crystal Maze. It is still remembered extremely fondly today," a source told The Sun. "Channel 4 are hoping to tap into that nostalgia and believe viewers will jump at the chance to finally take on the show’s adventurous challenges themselves."

A New Doctor Who Companion Has Been Cast
Speaking to Brazilian website Omelete, Peter Capaldi stated that the BBC has cast a new companion for the Doctor, and we will know who it is very soon. Capaldi says that this companion will most definitely not be another Clara:
Clara had prior knowledge of the Doctor. (She) was conceived as a human connected to your timeline, and so had access to the cosmic nature of the Doctor. She understood a little about how he was. And as she was already with Matt (Smith), she knew the Daleks and the TARDIS. Now we have someone who knows very little about the Doctor.
Capaldi says that he has met the new companion, but that is all the info we have for now. It’s not like he’ll get much time with his new companion anyhow – Capaldi will be leaving the show in the not too distant future.

Hydroflax
King Hydroflax was a merciless conqueror and pillager whose subjects included the people of Mendorax Dellora and the Shoal of the Winter Harmony. He was infamous as "the Butcher of the Bone Meadows", who ate his enemies after battle, alive or dead. He consisted of a cybernetic head and a massive robot body with an autonomous computer. His bodyguards were warrior monks genetically engineered with anger issues and armed with sentient laser swords.
In 5343, Hydroflax led a raid on the Halassi Vaults. The Vaults exploded in the ensuing firefight, driving the Halassi Androvar into his skull. River Song, who had been tasked by the Halassi to retrieve the diamond, posed as Hydroflax's nurse and seduced him into marrying her. Days later, she crashed his flying saucer into Mendorax Dellora, knowing she would intersect the Doctor's timestream there.
Hydroflax discovered that River had hired a surgeon, who was the Twelfth Doctor due to a mix-up, to take his head to get at the diamond. He ordered them killed, removing his head to prove a point. River and the Doctor seized his head and fled to the TARDIS, with his body in pursuit. After taking the heads of Nardole and Ramone, Hydroflax's body located the TARDIS and gained entrance. All three were transported to the Harmony and Redemption, where River planned to sell the diamond.
With the help of Flemming, Hydroflax's body reunited with his head. However, a scan revealed that the embedded and still-moving diamond had caused irreparable tissue damage and would kill him in seven minutes. Hydroflax ordered his body to do whatever was necessary for him to survive; the body thus concluded that he needed a new head and blasted Hydroflax's head to ashes. Hydroflax's body intended to take the Doctor's head as a replacement, but was interrupted by a meteor storm. The Doctor then tricked it into interfacing with a device that connected to all the banks in the galaxy, causing the computer to be "deleted in a merger".
After the Harmony and Redemption crashed into Darillium, Hydroflax's body was found with Nardole and Ramone's heads alive inside. Sharing control of the body, they became staff at the restaurant near the Singing Towers. (TV: The Husbands of River Song)
