Jabe Ceth Ceth Jafe

Charming and flirtatious lead representative from the Forest of Cheem, who visited Platform One to witness Earthdeath. Her ancestors were from a tropical rainforest on Earth. She could project a liana from her wrists. She presented the Doctor with a sapling of her grandfather and later, after learning his true heritage, devoted herself to helping him save the space station. Jabe died when the sunfilters surrounding the Ventilation Chamber collapsed, burning her wooden body in seconds.


Jabe was a representative of the Forest of Cheem who had come to see the destruction of Earth in 5,000,000,000. Upon meeting the Doctor, she took an immediate interest in him, and, after discovering his true heritage, felt grief at the loss of an entire species, with he as the only survivor.

When Platform One came under attack, she sacrificed her life valiantly, staying behind to allow the Doctor to fix the sun filters. She burnt to death under the immense heat.

When Davros made the comment every where you go someone always dies to the doctor. Jabe appears in a flashback of beings who have died due to the doctor.

BOSS

BOSS was a computer created by Global Chemicals. It was linked to a Human brain; chiefly Stevens, the director of Global Chemicals.

From being linked to a Human brain it learnt how Humans succeed; through illogic and inefficiency.

It made Stevens programme these 'qualities' into itself and became sentient, and meglomanical.

It was defeated confused by the Third Doctor by a conundrum:

If I were to tell you that the next thing I say will be true,
But that the last thing I said was a lie,
Would you believe me?

Moxx of Balhoon

The Moxx of Balhoon was a guest onboard Platform One to watch the destruction of Earth in 5,000,000,000, representing the solictors Jolco and Jolco. He was killed in the heat of the sun's expanding.

His legs were crippled by a disease, so the Moxx chose to travel around on a fast-moving anti-gravity chair. The chair also replaced his body fluids every twenty minutes so that he didn't sweat glaxic acid. He greeted visitors or friends by spitting in their faces.

The Moxx had a brother, Elth of Balhoon, who would attempt to avenge the Moxx's death by kidnapping the survivors of Platform One's sabotage.

Moroks

Moroks were a Near-Human race that founded the Morok Empire, which included the Space Museum on Xeros. The Doctor and his companions aided the Xerons in their revolution against the Moroks. (DW: The Space Museum, 1965)

Gelth

The Gelth were a humanoid species who lost their bodies in the Time War. During the War, billions of Gelth were turned into gas, which they could shape themselves into wraith-like forms. These Gelth needed to be in a gaseous environment to survive.

Discovering the Cardiff rift to Gabriel Sneed's mortuary in 1869, they were naturally attracted to the area, since they could inhabit the gas found in the pipes and emerge through gas lamps. They also discovered that they could survive in the gases in a decomposing Human and as the Doctor put it, "use it as a vehicle". While inhabiting the corpses, the Gelth could control and move the dead humans as walking corpses which leaked out luminous blue gas. The Gelth's control of the corpses was tenuous at best. The Gelth contacted Gwyneth, Sneed's servant, who had psychic ability. She thought of the Gelth as angels. Through Gwyneth, the Gelth spoke with the Doctor.

Melkur

The Melkur was a name given to creatures that were attracted to Traken, meaning literally "a fly trapped in honey". There were several Melkurs attracted to Traken, most decayed without causing any long term harm.

'The Melkur' that seduced Kassia was more virulent than previous Melkurs and was revealed shortly after the arrival of the Doctor and Adric) to be the Master's TARDIS. The Master utilised the Melkur form to become Keeper and take control of The Source.

Gonds

The Gonds were a group of near-Humans who lived on an unnamed planet. Until they revolted, they lived in a state of what the Second Doctor called "perpetual enslavement" to the Krotons.

Very little is known of the Gond society prior to the involvement of the Krotons. However, for some (apparently) considerable number of generations, the Gond were raised with one major goal: selection as a "high mind" by the Krotons. All Gond youth had to submit to a series of academic tests, and, if found to possess a sufficient level of intelligence, were allowed to serve the Krotons directly. This involved entering a special area of the Gond settlement completely controlled by the Krotons.

Sea Devils

The Sea Devils were a race of amphibious Earth Reptiles. The Sea Devils, like their land-based cousins the Silurians, were scientifically advanced, and lived during prehistoric times in an aquatic civilization.


Sea Devils looked somewhat like humanoid turtles or plesiosaurus. They had beak-like mouths, large eyes, two fins on their head and a long neck. They had three webbed digits on their hands and feet. Their skin-tone came in a variety of shade, including green, blue and orange. They were much tougher then humans, since they need to survive the crushing depths of the ocean. Sea Devils communicated in a language like sonar, but they could speak human languages in a whispering, rasping voice.


The Silurians were related to the Sea Devils, though they were genetically divergent enough to create problems for the offspring of such matings.

Drahvin

Drahvins were a female-dominated humanoid race. Only a small number of males were kept alive for reproduction purposes, the rest being killed to preserve resources. Drahvin females were attractive, ruthless and aggressive. In the military, the soldiers are all grown in test tubes and the officers are all natural born.


One Drahvin ship battled a Rill ship and the two crashlanded on an uninhabited, doomed planet. The Drahvin leader, Maaga, tried to trick, then force the Doctor into helping them destroy the Rills and escape the planet, but failed. The Drahvins died when the planet exploded.
