Fans From All Over the World Bid a Touching Farewell to Peter Capaldi as the 12th Doctor Who

Peter Capaldi did a very sweet thing for a young fan while filming the Doctor Who Christmas special

“There was one young lad, who’s been fostered by friends of ours,” David Bradley, who plays the First Doctor in the festive episode, told RadioTimes.com of one special set visit.

“And he was so excited, so excited. Peter came over into the hospitality tent where all the cameras were, and said, ‘Where’s this friend….where’s Chris?’ And I said, ‘There he is.’
“And then Peter spent about 15 minutes drawing a Dalek with hobnailed boots and a bowler hat,” Bradley said. “Really funny detail – he went to art school, did Peter, before he became an actor.

“He could have easily done a quick sketch or a quick autograph,” Bradley went on.
“He was preparing for the next scene, we were both trying to learn our lines as each scene came up, because we had to work quite quickly. We didn’t get the scripts until just a few days before we started filming, so there wasn’t much downtime.
“But Peter, bless him, he took the time to draw this very complicated sketch for this young boy, and he absolutely loved it.
“Oh, the kids that we brought are still talking about it,” he concluded. “And they can’t wait ’til Christmas!”
Good to know that even in his last days, the Twelfth Doctor is still being a hero to kids everywhere.

Peter Capaldi Gives Paddington Bear A Makeover

 Doctor Who lead Peter Capaldi recently joined forces with British charity the NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) to bring us Paddington Who? The statue is located at the Greenwich Meridian, Royal Observatory Greenwich in South East London.

Paddington’s distinctive duffel coat has morphed in to a version of the Tardis while the back features a rather jolly looking disco-dalek.  Capaldi’s creation is one of just 50 versions of Paddington Bear designed by a stellar cast of celebrities including Sandra Bullock and Benedict Cumberbatch.  They have popped up around London in recent days to raise awareness for the ChildLine arm of the charity which enables young people to get help and advice about a wide range of issues.  All 50 bears will be auctioned off later in the year with the proceeds going to ChildLine.

The 12th Doctor

The Twelfth Doctor emerged from the Eleventh Doctor's explosive regeneration on Trenzalore, being the product of what his predecessor called "regeneration number thirteen" as well as being the first incarnation of the Doctor's second regeneration cycle.

 Contrary to his predecessors, the Twelfth Doctor did not act out in a childish manner as a defense mechanism to avoid the guilty feelings lingering from the Last Great Time War. After assuring the survival of Gallifrey, he was no longer chained down by his guilt.

His personality shifted from frivolities to a serious and applied disposition. However, with his darkening nature, the Doctor turned colder and stoic, taking on many aspects likened to those of an introvert. With his emotions subdued, he became harder to read correctly, heightening the alien qualities he had in his previous incarnation.

However, this difficulty of understanding how his rationale worked could lead others to quickly distrust him. In extreme cases, the Doctor's unknown and unpredictable tendencies could generate fear, both for himself and his associates.
