Drathro

Drathro, called the Immortal by humans, was an L3 maintenance robot created by the Three Sleepers to watch over them and their secrets while they rested in suspended animation. It was in charge of the underground Marb Station on Ravolox in 2,000,000,000 CE.

Drathro was created in the Andromeda Galaxy and placed as guardian over the Sleepers. He used the 500 humans of Marb Station, which he called "work units", to keep the Sleepers alive and he used two humans, Tandrell and Humker, as his personal assistants.

Both he and the Station was powered by a black light converter on the surface. He also made use of an L1 robot and a train guard named Merdeen, who helped humans to escape to the surface without Drathro knowing.

Kiv

Kiv was the leader of the Mentors, a group that included Sil. Both Kiv and Sil became rich via profitable deals. He became involved in weapons dealing with the primitive peoples of the planet Crontep. He complained of pains in his head that was a result of his brain expanding. Surgery was performed and his brain was moved into that of a similar mentor. This was not perfect however and so again surgery was performed to move his brain to the body of Peri. He was killed by King Yrcanos.

Gastropods

The Gastropods, led by Mestor, devoured the vegetation of the planet Jaconda. The Gastropods resembled humanoid slugs. They left a sticky slugs. Unspeaking, they followed the commands of Mestor, leaving one to assume they made only vestigial intelligence. Mestor planned to make the Jaconda's sun go supernova so as to scatter Gastropod eggs into space.

Jaconda, once a verdant paradise, became a despoiled wasteland once the Gastropod appeared and making the Jacondans slaves in their own world. (Whether the Gastropods originated in space or in another part of Jaconda remains un-chronicled.) The Doctor killed Mestor and ended the reign of the Gastropods.

The Valeyard

Other than a cryptic hint as to the Valeyard's origins as the Doctor's future self (or part of his self), we do not know the origins of the Valeyard.

The Valeyard served as the prosecutor during the trial of the Doctor. He presented extracts from the Matrix depicting past events in the Doctor's life as evidence of the Doctor violating the non-interference policy of the Time Lords. Later in the trial he added a charge of genocide against the Vervoids.

The Valeyard had secretly tampered with the Matrix extracts to show the Doctor in the worst possible light and steer the trial to a guilty verdict. The Valeyard was acting on behalf of the High Council to cover up the Ravolox affair. As payment, the Valeyard was to have received the Doctor's remaining regenerations. It was The Master who stepped in and revealed the Valeyard's true origins.

The Valeyard escaped into the Matrix via the Seventh Door, which he opens using a copy of the Key of Rassilon. He is pursued and finally defeated by the Doctor when an explosion the Valeyard had intended to destroy the court is fed back into the Matrix due to the Doctor's tampering.

However, as Inquisitor Darkel dismissed the trial and the Doctor and his companion departed, the Valeyard was also present, disguised as the Keeper of the Matrix.

Sil

As representative of the Galatron Mining Corporation on the planetoid Varos, Sil lied about the value of Zeiton-7 to get the cheapest price for it possible. He was also interested in buying and distributing recordings of the various tortures which passed for entertainment on Varos. These schemes ended when the Doctor informed the Governor of Varos of the true value of the commodity. He hoped to secure rights to videos of the torture of criminals on Varos (already served up on television as entertainment for Varos' oppressed citizens) and market them on other worlds .

In 2379, on his homeworld of Thoros Beta, Sil became involved in weapons dealing with the primitive peoples of the planet Crontep. The Doctor's personality had changed meanwhile, to the extent that they worked together, the Doctor using his knowledge of future history to know the best investment prospects. While not explicitly stated, Sil was presumably killed by King Yrcanos in his rampage in Crozier's laboratory.

The Vervoids

Vervoids are a type of artificially created humanoid plants.

Vervoid are the size of Humans, with pink head-like organs surrounded by petals. They can release swamp gas out of their "mouths" when panicked. They have short tendrils at the ends of their "arms" which can function as hands for simple tasks or can shoot out poisonous darts. They are covered in maple-tree like leaves which can regenerate into entire Vervoids if they are placed in soil. Vevoids grow in pods which are awoken when exposed to higher spectrum of light. Vervoids have short lifespans, living for less then a year until they decay.

Vervoids were created by a team on Mogar in order to create a race of slaves. This attempt wasn't entirely successful, since one of the team-members was infected by vervoid pollen and the vervoids were genetically inclined towards survival. Instead of serving the Humans, they saw the Humans as a threat to their own existence. After an accident on the Hyperion III in 2986, the Vervoids were awakened early and attempted to kill all Humans. The Doctor was able to stop them by accelerating their growth rate, causing them to die from old age.
